My name is Mieke Vanhengel, and I’m a subtitler, translator and linguist, as well as a language and communication instructor, working with English, Dutch, Flemish and Latin.

I’ve been working as a translator since 2014 and added subtitling to my skillset in 2017. Over the years, subtitling has truly become a passion of mine, and these days, it is my main focus as a translator.

My teaching career started in September 2013 as a high school teacher of Latin, English and Dutch. After six years of teaching students aged 12 to 18, I said goodbye to high schools, but not to my love of teaching. These days, I coach individuals as well as businesses in their language and communication needs and work as a guest lecturer of communication skills at a college in Belgium.
